Get rid of the flavor of the month products and services and get clear on what you want. By all means keep up your marketing education, but don’t jump from idea to idea with the hopes of being an overnight millionaire. It’s not reality.

What one needs is to follow a solid plan grounded in the basics of direct marketing principles. That plan is below.

Follow these five steps and prosper on the Internet:

Pick Your Niche Market

Next you have to decide the market you’ll be competing in. Here’s where differences in opinion by other marketers come into play.

Some say pick your passion, others say it doesn’t matter about passion, as long as the niche a money maker.

The correct response? Go with both. Pick a market you have an interest in, if you don’t have an interest you won’t work as hard, and makes money. It’s not hard.
